Rider Review: 2003 Suzuki VZ 800 Marauder

I have put almost 900 miles on my new Marauder since Mar. 22 when I picked up my bike. I have nothing bad to say about this bike. The torque and the acceleration of the bike has been awesome. The handling seems to be very responsive and smooth. Shifting has been trial and error to find the "sweet spot" to shift. Shift to high or low to 2nd or 3rd and I got a rough shift, but shift in the right spot and the shift is very smooth. I took the pilion seat off and I am very impressed with the look. One thing that I really thought was neat was that in the showroom my bike looked black, but outside in the sun you can seen dark blue metal flake in the paint. This looks great. I have read where the seat is uncomfortable, but I am finding the seat to be just fine. The bike's seating position is very relaxed and comfortable (I am 6' 1" and 170). This is a great bike and one that is a good starter bike. I plan on having this bike for many years and miles to come!!
