2003 Honda CB750 Nighthawk CAUTION! Not Recommended For New Riders
Beginner Bikes
This is one of the most under-valued bikes on the market, but we recommend it only for beginning riders of larger stature. A four-cylinder 750cc standard is simply too much motorcycle for an average-sized beginner. While the Nighthawk isn't as powerful as most 750cc or even 600cc machines with four-cylinders, it's still not the beginner bike that some magazines and salespersons make it out to be. It's an excellent second bike though. Seat height: 30.9 inches.

Large, powerful engine and a heavy bike - very unsuitable for beginners. For experienced riders - a very good mount that has been reliable and simple and around for many years!

This is a second bike, something to graduate to after riding a few seasons on something more suitable, like an A or B rated machine. Still, I'd rather see someone start off on the 750 Nighthawk than say...a CBR600F4i. But a four banger is not the ideal learning tool, although there are some people that may actually be able to start off on such a bike, there are simply better choices for the average Joe or Jane. So I give it a D for beginner riding.

I gave it an F for the same reasons Darwin mentioned. 60hp and a hefty weight are not a good combination in a beginner bike.
