2004 Kawasaki KLR650
A unique, under-appreciated Army Jeep of a motorcycle. The KLR650 will take you to every road on the planet, dirt or paved, no matter how remote. The 6.1-gallon fuel tank will get you back home too. Extremely reliable and fun to ride, its tall seat diminishes its suitability for beginning riders. Seat height: 35 inches.

People have circumnavigated the globe on this bike - great bike but don't like the 650 dual sports when there are other dual sports better suited to the beginner. HondaXR650L gets a C only because Honda doesn't offer any other dual sport. Kawasaki has some very nice dual sports better suited to the beginner.

As much as I like this bike, the tall seat makes it very limited.

Like I said about Honda's 650 offering, one has to be of the right dimensions for the KLR. That being the case, a B rating is what I give it, but if you can't reach the ground on it then I suggest you stay out of the clouds.
