Honda's
Shadow 600 makes a fine choice for the beginning cruiser enthusiast
who wants more power than that offered by 250cc machines. The
583cc engine's power is smooth and predictable, and has the
unmistakable V-twin configuration besides. The seat height is
even lower than the 250 Rebel's. Build quality and attention
to detail are excellent, and the price is hard to beat. Seat
height: 25.6 inches.
You
gotta ask my unbiased opinion of these marvelous middle-weights?
Actually I give Honda's VLX a B rating for a beginner's
machine, only due to the bike's frame geometry. With the
extensive rake and trail the front end may feel a little
heavy at slower speeds for inexperienced riders. For anyone
with any prior MC experience, be it offroad or returning
rider, I give it an A.
